Can you imagine how you will feel when FS24 breaks your sim with every update.?
That's a major plus for FS9 these days - we at least control our simulator environment to a large extent. With later sims there's less personal control with every version.
If you have to download your ground textures on the fly, you will eventually wind up in the same bind as people faced in the old days with online weather. "Yeah, we changed/shut down/altered the file format on the servers, too bad".
