War auch erstmal ziemlich geschockt, als ich das neue "Design" gesehen habe.
Im jetzigen Zustand absolut Benutzerunfreundlich.
Die derzeitigen Betreiber der Seite bitten allerdings um Nachsicht, da die Seite, so wie sie sich jetzt darstellt, noch nicht im endgültigen Zustand sein soll.
Das Feintuning könnte noch einige Wochen in Anspruch nehmen. Allerdings macht mir der grundsätzliche Aufbau der Seite im Moment recht wenig Hoffnung auf wirklich spürbare Verbesserungen.
Angeblich soll mit dem Wechsel des Forumbetreibers eine neue Software zum Einsatz gekommen sein, die den Fortbestand der alten Seite, in der bewährten Form, nicht mehr erlaubt.
Das Login Problem löst man dadurch, daß man noch einmal einen neuen Account (mit dem "alten" Username und Password) eröffnet.
Dann kann man das Desaster wieder life miterleben. 
Ich habe die wichtigen Webseiten die ich regelmäßig besuche in auf der Google Startseite verlinkt und komme damit noch auf die alte Seite von Flightsim.
Alles funktioniert wie gewohnt. Nur wie lange das wird sich in Zukunft zeigen.
Über die Suchfunktion geht es auf die neue Seite und die ist wirklich schäbig.
I went looking after reading your post. Kind of sad... I was so used to see the old page - and it worked like a proof of life, like "we're still here!" .. as what you get at http://www.calclassic.com/ - that is the same page probably in the last 20+ years!
I sent a "forget password" request and was able to log in.
I also sent a request, as a developer, for them to connect my uploaded files to my profile - as per their own suggestion.. I don't know how they're going to do that as I have many files under my own name but also many in team works with Milton Shupe and FSDzigns.. let's see what happens.
Browsing the files section is terrible... it seems we lost the access to the various screenshots, to check the contents of the zip file..! to be able to check the enclosed "readme.txt" files...
First impression is terrible.
I was finally able to log in so that was good. I'm cutting them a lot of slack right now because of the valuable service they have provided me for 20 years. I agree they should have had a tested product with beta testers before making this live. I'll stay patient while they fix this, I'm sure with the feedback they're getting they will get a handle on this.

Well said, Roger, and you're right.
Still it looks like a bit of a loss. As I said I sent a request per their suggestion to associate my files to my username. It seemed like a nice touch. They answered quickly.. but the result was: many of my files were left out, and they connected to my name many files of other authors that had used, for instance, my paint kits.. but that wasn't really my work. All preview screenshots are gone. etc.
But I am hoping too that they get back at full throttle.
Mein Eindruck ist, dass die alte Seite nicht mehr mit neuen Downloads, bzw das Forum nicht mehr mit neuen Einträgen gefüttert wird, denn seit 13.1. gibt es dort keine neuen Sachen mehr.
Ansonsten bin ich auch der Meinung, dass das Neue eine Katastrophe ist, keinen Spaß macht und auch kein Wohlfühl-Gefühl aufkommen lässt. Die Kommunikation der neuen Betreiber ist ein absolutes Desaster. So geht das gar nicht!
Auch der neue Geist (spirit), der dort nun zu herrschen schein, lässt nix Gutes für die Zukunft erahnen. Wirklich sehr schade um diesen jahrelangen zuverlässigen Fels in der Brandung der sich stetig irrwitzig weiterdrehenden Simulator Welt...
