FRAPS - Mit welcher Software schneidet Ihr Eure Videos?

    Nach langer Zeit habe ich wieder einmal mit FRAPS ein paar Videos im FS9 aufgenommen. Jetzt müssten diese nur noch etwas "in Form" gebracht, bzw. geschnitten werden. Welches Tool nutzt Ihr dafür?

    After a long time I have once again recorded a few videos in FS9 with FRAPS. Now I just need to get them into shape or cut them. Which tool do you use for this?

    Hi Oli,

    If you have a Linux computer around... I open my Windows-recorded videos under Linux and edit them with a software called KDenLive. All freeware :)

    If you have a spare computer in the house and ever wish to try Linux, I may suggest the Mint distro as it is very natural for people coming from Windows.

    Thank you very much for this advice. If possible, I would like to use a simple tool under Windows, as I neither work with Linux nor have a second computer available for this. And to be honest, I don't have time to deal with another operating system at the moment.

    Ich bin Flusi-mässig immer noch auf Windows 7. Aber stimmt natürlich, ich kann ja das Video auf den Win10-Rechner kopieren und dort bearbeiten. An den Video Editor habe ich gar nicht gedacht - vielen Dank für den Hinweis!

    Es geht unter Win7 auch mit dem Microsoft Windows Live Essentials 2012 Paket, welches man zum Download mit einer "Google" oder was auch immer Suche noch finden kann. Dort gibt es dann auch Movie Maker, der sehr übersichtlich und leicht zu benutzen ist.

    My rig is WIN 7 64bit.

    I use Sony Vegas for video edit/rendering. It really is one of the best pieces of software I have ever used.....solid as a rock. Easy to use but powerful too.

    noch ein Tipp, für screen recording benutze ich das kostenlose OBS studio. Da hat man dann auch kein Wasserzeichen o. ä., wie bei demr kostenlosen FRAPS Version.

    Vielen Dank für Deine Tipps. Ja, das Wasserzeichen stört mich auch bei FRAPS. Da schaue ich mir gerne mal das OBS Studio an. Das kenne ich gar nicht.

    I'm also taking a look at Sony Vegas in the hope that it won't overwhelm me. To be honest, I've never edited videos before. But looking at your fantastic FS9 videos, I'm itching to give it a try. Even though I will never ever reach your level of perfection. You're in a league of your own. But it inspires me.

    My first foray into DAWs was Sony Acid Pro, and that felt as though every little thing had been well thought through. It's not even a "big hitter", but it's solid.
